Integral Orifice Assembly
A compact differential pressure flow measurement device for small line sizes and low flow rates — plate and tappings built into a self-contained meter body for accurate, stable measurement at low Reynolds numbers.
View SpecificationsBETFLOW Integral Orifice Assembly (BF-IOA)
The Integral Orifice Assembly is a compact differential pressure (DP) flow measurement device designed for small line sizes and low flow rates, where a conventional flanged orifice plate assembly would be impractical. The orifice plate and pressure tappings are built directly into a small, self-contained meter body, which is installed in-line or connected to a DP transmitter through close-coupled impulse connections.
This design minimises installation length, eliminates the need for separate orifice flanges, and provides accurate, stable measurement at low Reynolds numbers, making it well suited to small-bore process lines, sampling systems, and pilot-scale applications.
Bhavyam offers all integral orifice assemblies under the BETFLOW range of products. Design & engineering is done as per global standards to meet challenging process demands. Manufacturing of all integral orifice assemblies is carried out as per ISO 5167 / ASME MFC-3M / ASME B16.5 standards.

Frequently asked questions.
How does an integral orifice assembly differ from a standard orifice plate assembly?
A standard assembly uses a separate plate installed between orifice flanges on the main pipeline, with external pressure tappings. An integral assembly combines the plate, body, and tappings into one compact unit, which close-couples directly to the DP transmitter, reducing installation length and the number of joints.
What line sizes and flow rates suit an integral orifice assembly?
Integral orifice assemblies are generally used on small line sizes, typically up to 1-1/2", and at low to moderate flow rates where accurate measurement at low Reynolds numbers is needed. For larger lines or higher flow rates, a standard or compact orifice plate assembly is generally more suitable.
What information is needed to select an integral orifice assembly?
We need the fluid type and phase, the flow rate (minimum, normal, maximum), operating pressure and temperature, the line size and end connection type, and whether the DP transmitter will be close-coupled or mounted remotely, so the body and tapping arrangement can be configured accordingly.
