Needle Valves
Precision shutoff and throttling valves for instrument impulse lines — fine flow control at very low rates, tighter shutoff, and a standard building block inside every BETLOCK manifold.
View SpecificationsBETLOCK Needle Valve
The Needle Valve is a precision shutoff and throttling valve, used in instrumentation and impulse line systems to isolate instruments, control small flow rates, and provide fine adjustment of pressure or flow. Its tapered, needle-shaped stem seats directly into a matching orifice, giving precise control over flow even at very low rates. Needle valves are used individually in instrument impulse lines, or combined into manifold assemblies as the block, equalizing, and vent valves described above. Their compact size, robust construction, and fine metering capability make them a standard component in gauge, transmitter, and sampling line installations.
Bhavyam offers all BETLOCK manifolds and valves under the BETLOCK range of products. Design & engineering is done as per global standards to meet challenging process demands.

Frequently asked questions.
What is a needle valve used for in instrumentation systems?
A needle valve is used for precise isolation and throttling of flow in instrument impulse lines, such as controlling the rate of a gauge snubber, metering small purge or sample flows, or acting as the individual isolation, equalizing, and vent valves within a manifold.
What is the difference between a needle valve and a standard gate or globe valve?
A needle valve has a long, tapered stem that provides much finer control over flow than a gate or globe valve, making it suitable for very low or precisely metered flow rates. It also typically provides tighter shutoff, which is important in instrument isolation applications.
What stem types are available for needle valves?
A regulating (tapered) stem is used where fine flow adjustment is needed, while a non-rotating stem with a flat tip is used where repeated tight shutoff without stem wear is the priority, such as in isolation service. Soft-seated / soft-tip options may also be available for bubble-tight, low-torque shutoff.
